My uncle was outraged. First discovering a birthmark on my neck that would change by the day. Then he discovered that I could use some, 'evil powers' as he put it, to change into any animal of my choosing. So my uncle made a choice that would change my life forever, but in a goodway.

"I don't care!" My uncle yelled these words that I wouldn't ever hear again.

I felt a hot sear across my face. He had slapped me, I dared not say another word. Salty tears ran down my cheecks. My uncle, who wasn't a pleasant man, never slapped me.

"You will get in the carriage when the priest arrives. You will show him respect, you ungrateful little brat."

When my uncle discovered my shifting he snapped. He was a priest in the small town of Daleton. He believes I sm being invaded by a 'demon', so he sent for a priest from the castle of Kibbute, were I'd be taught school work while having my 'demon' excorsised.

"Uncle, what if I said I will never change again." Convincing my uncle was pointless, like trying to get an executioner not to kill me. Only if he knew I could change, not like I wasn't in control.

"What about this, you go so then i will believe you when the demons are gone, I mean what if the demon is talking through you."

"Bu-" Before I could talk back i heard the familiar clipping of horses feet and carriage wheels.

"They have arrived. Now come child, this is goodbye. I shall never see you again, but don't fret it's for the better."

The carriage man added the ladder as we stepped out the front door. Uncle was carrying my luggage. The doorman quickly grabbed the luggage and loaded it in the back. I walked to the stairs while the door was opened for me. Before I sat down on the hard carriage seat, I looked at my uncle with hating eyes. Before he could react back the doorman closed the door, removed the stairs and climbed back to the back seat and sat with the luggage. Before I knew it we were rolling away. I looked out the window at the house that I spent my whole life in. It was sad to think i would never walk throught the garden with my cat Tonks and read by the river. Before I could take everything in the carriage took a turn around the massive pines, blocking my view of the house.
